One of the oldest restaurants in the Berat citadel. Good traditional Albanian cuisine served in a small room.
Koço Plaku and his wife offer authentic, tasty cuisine in a small, twenty-seat dining room. As it's not expensive, you can be tempted to take several courses and starters to sample all the specialties, such as tave me bamje (oven-baked okra) or kokorec (skewered lamb offal). Koço is inexhaustible about local cuisine and history in Greek, Italian or English. Accommodation available.
