KING'S MOSQUE
This mosque (Xhamia e Mbretit) was built in 1492 in honor of the "king" (sultan) Bajazed II (reign 1481-1512). It is the oldest mosque in Berat and one of the oldest in Albania. Spared during the atheist campaign of 1967 and reopened for worship in 1991, it is frequently used. The entrance porch is an 18th century addition and the top of the minaret was recently redone. Inside, there is a richly decorated mirhab, a mezzanine for women, and woodwork decorated with colorful geometric patterns and calligraphy of Allah's name.

Pas forcément facile à trouver mais elle vaut le coup d'oeil.
You will appreciate the remarkable decor of the ceiling to the floor for women only, but accessible to the Christians from all sexes, Albanian Islam is in the antipodes of the Salafist integrism.
Access for tourists: 100 leks (€0.75)
