Built in 1967 and renovated in 2014, this soccer stadium is the third largest in Albania after those in Tirana and Shkodra. Although it only has a capacity of 12,800 spectators, it has a special place in the country's sporting history. While the stadium in Tirana was under construction, it was here that the play-off matches of the national team for Euro 2016 (organized in France) were held. This was a lucky break for Albania, as it was the first time they qualified for the finals of an international soccer competition.
