BRATKO MUSEUM OF ORIENTAL ART
Collection of 400 Asian and African art objects by American-Albanian photographer Dhimitër Mborja-Bratko (1903-1990).
This private museum (Muzeu i Artit Oriental Bratko) is housed in a Japanese-inspired building constructed in 2003. It houses a collection of 400 Asian and African art objects from 17 countries. It was built up by the American-Albanian photographer Dhimitër Mborja-Bratko (1903-1990) during his fourteen years spent in the Pacific, Asia and Japan in the 1940s-1950s, which explains the presence of photos of the American general Douglas MacArthur.
