PORT DE VLORA
The country's second-largest port, after Durrës. Ferry links with the Italian port of Brindisi (8-11h crossing).
This seaport (Porti i Vlorës) is reserved for cargo trucks and passengers, with ferries linking Brindisi (8 to 11-hour crossing) and sometimes Bari, Italy. It occasionally receives cruise ships and serves as a departure base for agencies offering excursions to the island of Sazan and the Karaburun peninsula. A project is underway to create a large marina here by 2025. The oil terminal and cargo port are 4 km to the northwest. The fishing port is 2 km beyond these.
