Established in 1962, this municipal museum (Muzeu Historik) is housed in a neoclassical building from 1918. On the first floor, the archaeological collection includes Greek and Roman amphorae and steles from Aulon (Vlora), Orikum and Kanina. On the second floor, the history collection focuses on the declaration of independence in 1912 and the Vlora War, from June 4 to August 2, 1920, when Italy tried unsuccessfully to impose a protectorate on the region.
