Scheduled to open in 2025, this museum (Muzeu Hebraik i Vlorës) occupies a house that once belonged to a Jewish family in the historic center. Before the Second World War, Vlora was home to Albania's largest Jewish community (around 200 families). Funded by the Albanian-American Development Foundation (AADF) and designed by Israeli architects Kimmel Eshkolot, the museum is to house a permanent exhibition on the history of the community, temporary exhibitions and a café with terrace.
