HOTEL SOFO
In Llogara National Park. An institution. Pleasant rooms and good traditional cuisine such as lamb on the spit.
This chalet is an institution, almost as much so as its chef, Sofo Kuteli, who has been regaling the region since 1965. After the fall of communism, he bought this state-run restaurant and turned it into a hotel, which has been constantly improved ever since. In summer, you can eat outside, but as the evenings are cool in the park, you'll appreciate the dining room where Sofo serves very, very good traditional cuisine: spit-roasted lamb(qingji ne hell), spit-roasted stuffed lamb offal(kukurrec) and "Caesar's bread"(ngsar), in memory of the Roman emperor in pursuit of Pompey.
