DHËRMI PANAGIA MONASTERY
Monastery dedicated to the Virgin Mary, with frescoes painted in 1576 and a bird's-eye view of the village and coast.
This Orthodox monastery dedicated to the Virgin (Ιερά Μονή της Παναγίας/Iera Mon tis Panagias, Manastirit të Panaiasë) enjoys a bird's-eye view of the village and coast. Spotted by its campanile, its church preserves frescoes painted in 1576. These include an astonishing program illustrating the vices and abuses to which man is subjected by an imp. Dhërmi/Drymades boasts thirty other churches and chapels, some of which are also open to visitors.
