MUSÉE DES TRADITIONS
Municipal ethnological museum in the former customs post, created in 1960, featuring traditional and everyday objects.
Created in 1960, this municipal ethnological museum (Muzeu i Traditës) is housed in the old customs house. It has four rooms on two levels. It brings together everyday and traditional objects from the 19th-20th centuries from the Greek and Albanian communities of the region, in particular a weaving loom, a shepherd's cape and opingas, slippers whose red tassels are reminiscent of the tsarouchis of the Greek evzones. On the first floor, note the 1930s photographs that show Saranda before it was disfigured by modern construction.
