ÎLOTS DE KSAMIL
At the edge of Ksamil's beaches, four rocky islets are covered in vegetation and pompously dubbed "the Maldives of Albania".
This mini-archipelago (Ishuj të Ksamilit) comprises four rocky islets pompously dubbed "the Maldives of Albania". They are covered in vegetation (holm oak, black alder, laurel, myrtle) and surrounded by a rich underwater flora and fauna. The islet Qorri ("the blind one") is approx. 1.3 ha in size and lies 20 m from Ksamil's westernmost beach. To the north, the large islet Dodi is around 5 ha in size and lies 60 m from the coast. Finally, the "twin islands" (Ishujt Binjakë) are around 1.1 and 0.8 ha in size and lie 400 m west of the coast.
