COL DU BAZAR
This "pass" (Qafa e Pazarit) is a crossroads that forms the center of the old town, at the top of Place Çerçiz-Topulli.
This "pass" (Qafa e Pazarit) is in fact a crossroads located at the top of Gjin-Zenebisi Street, which rises steeply from Çerçiz-Topulli Square. It constitutes the center of the old city with, all around, the houses of the district of the Ottoman bazaar rebuilt in the years 1870. There are still some craftsmen (Gjin-Bue-Shpata street, on the left) and a souvenir store at the foot of a beautiful corbelled house. Straight ahead, Ismail-Kadare street leads to the mosque of the Bazaar, then to impressive fortress-houses, including that of Ismail Kadare.
