This small site (Parku Arkeologjik i Adrianopoli) houses the remains of the Roman colony of Hadrianopolis, in particular those of a theater of 58 m in diameter restored in the 4th century AD. The city was founded by the emperor Hadrian around the year 120. Devastated by the Ostrogoths in the5th century, it was rebuilt by the Byzantine emperor Justinian in the 6th century. Renamed Justinianopolis, it was the seat of the military region of Drynopolis, before being abandoned in the 7th century.
