VYDOUBYTSKYI MONASTERY (ВИДУБИЦЬКИЙ ВИДУБИЦЬКИЙ-МОНАСТИР ЧОЛОВІЧИЙ МОНАСТИР)
This monastery is not necessarily easy to access but its visit is worth a visit. Its construction dates back to the th century and is an important place of the Ukrainian church. The monks here carefully maintain a garden of roses whose colours contrast with the white austerity of the walls of the two churches that make up the monastery. Near the dining, hives remind us that Orthodox monks, like Catholics, must work to support their community. The origin of the monastery's name is quite surprising. The Kiéviens tell that during the conversion of Kiev Rus to Christianity, Vladimir threw all idols in the waters of the Dnieper, so that all the inhabitants shouted: Vydubaï, vydubaï! that is, "back, go back!
