Lviv has a magnificent airport that has been completely renovated for Euro 2012. The airport receives regular international flights, operated by Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Lot Polish Airlines, Turkish Airlines, and the low-cost airline Carpatair. Ukrainian companies include Aerosvit and Ukrainian International Airlines. Several flights a day depart for Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk and Ivano-Frankivsk. The airport's modernisation works should attract new companies, particularly low-cost ones.
The airport is 8 km from the city centre. It is connected to the city by an express bus that runs from 10:30 am to 8:30 pm (ticket 20 UAH), trolleybus n°9 that stops next to Ivan-Franko University, or by minibus n°48 (direction Airport).
