HOUSE-WALL (СТЕНА-СТЕНА)

At first glance, this building does not leave the Odessa architectural complex. However, a seasoned tourist with a keen eye will notice its particularity. Seen from a different angle, the building seems to have only one wall, that of the façade, with the walls on both sides serving as its support. This architectural decision was made because of the lack of building materials during the Russian Empire. The architects had to find a solution to finish the building with the means at hand. Since then, the Wall House has become part of the city's landscape as one of the main attractions to see.
