BLACK SEA FLEET MUSEUM (МУЗЕЙ ФЛОТА)
This museum can make a little fear, the prospect of seeing models of boats and uniforms being not very happy indeed. But if the exhibits exposed do not go far from the purely military context, the impressive setting makes the museum interesting and quite touching. See, in particular, the great hall devoted to the Great Patriotic War, with the hundred portraits of the sailors of the Navy dead during the battles of the Black sea front and the immense map of Soviet victories covering the four walls. The gigantism doesn't always prevent emotion. The more modern arms room, located in another museum building, is far less attractive. The building that houses the museum dates back to 1895. On its facade, the sculptures of cannons, anchors and other elements reminiscent of the Russian navy can be observed.
