The fortress is not as spectacular as that of Soudak, but it deserves a visit. It is located in the northern part of the city, at the top of the Karantinnaia Hill, its dominant ruins melancholic the sea. The valley at the foot of the fortress was called the Holy Valley. In fact, in the th century, there were eleven Armenian churches, which left only four today.
