The palace exposes its white marble to Alvar Aalto's fans. Originally, the architect conceived it as a space dedicated to concerts and major congresses. Built in 1971, it will be the venue for the major conference on security and cooperation in Europe in 1975. Aalto's leg is reflected in the elegance of the building's forms. However, white marble tends to require regular restoration of its facades and acoustics is not the best for concerts
