At the cradle of design, Design Week combines design, fashion and architecture for a selection of surprising creations.
Since 2005, Design Week has been mixing design, fashion and architecture for an anthology of surprising creations. For Helsinki, World Design Capital 2012 and the cradle of Nordic design, this week represents a major event in its cultural and economic life. The festival has even recently set up a participatory forum to encourage the inhabitants to take part in the development of the city and its culture. Numerous debates, exhibitions and conferences are organized to understand the past and future challenges of design.
