It's a real classic! Since 1743, fishermen and craftsmen have gathered every year on the Market Square for a presentation and tasting of their flagship products at the end of the fishing season. Smoked or fried herring (silakka), prepared in all sauces, smoked or marinated salmon, all served with Nordic rye bread, and berry jams, there is a wide choice. The market closes with the price of the best marinated fish and the best herring dish.
