Formerly a slaughterhouse in the Kalasatama industrial zone, originally built in 1933 and turned into a wholesale market in the 1990s, this red-brick building has now become an urban space managed by its residents, with a number of events organized by ordinary citizens in the courtyard throughout the year. There's now a brewery, a coffee roaster, restaurants of all kinds... In short, an alternative and popular place, symbolic of this city of Helsinki that never ceases to change and evolve with the times!
