The Orthodox Church of St. Nicholas (1799-1801) is the oldest building in the town of Kotka. It was built according to the plans of one of the architects of St. Petersburg, Jacob Perrin, in a beautiful park and of neoclassical inspiration. It has cream tones on the outside and beautiful icons on the inside, including that of Archbishop Nicholas of Myre made at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. See also the icon dedicated to Alexander Nevski.
