A fireplace, a warm atmosphere, a lost corner and a quality cuisine, here is a perfect address for an evening north of the polar circle. Moreover, the reindeer shoulder on the wood fire, to be ordered for two, is delicious. If you are not a fan of meat, you can also be tempted by the many vegetarian dishes offered by the friendly couple of managers! The beautiful wine list perfectly completes the meal. LAANILAN KIEVARI is a charming restaurant located in Saariselkä. The menu includes a wide selection of starters, main courses and desserts. Elk steak with pepper, reindeer shoulder and garlic soup are very good. The restaurant accommodates special diets by offering vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Their willingness to use fresh ingredients, many from their own garden or local forests, is a real plus for this establishment. In addition to its cuisine, LAANILAN KIEVARI also offers a relaxation area. With two saunas, one for 30 people and another for 8, you can relax and unwind in the Finnish tradition. You can also try swimming in ice water in the outdoor pool. If you're feeling cold, you can relax in the outdoor hot tub while watching the spectacular Northern Lights.

The only negative point is that on the second day there was a long wait, but it seems that it was because they had a problem in the kitchen. It's better to go early anyway.
The moose terdenloin and reinder shoulder surprised us, delicious! I definitely recommend trying it.
Hyvin ajateltu kokonaisuus miellyttävässä ympäristössä. Ei edullisin, mutta hinta-laatusuhde kohdallaan.
Sopii lomaviikolle sille illalle kun halutaan syödä vähän paremmin.
