Terminal del Norte is Bogotá's northern bus station. A recent addition, it receives buses from Terminal Salitre (the one in the center of the capital) bound for the north of the country: Tunja, San Gil, Bucaramanga, Santa Marta and so on. At the time of writing, some nearby towns, such as Chía, Cajicá and Zipaquira, were still served by the chaotic "Portal del Norte" (Calle 170 con Autopista). If you're based in the north of Bogotá, the Terminal del Norte is the quickest way out of the city. It saves you an hour's drive.
