The blue "SITP" buses (Integrated Public Transportation System), which also includes the TransMilenio, are safer and more comfortable than the usual busetas that crisscross the capital. They have pre-established stops and payment is made with the same rechargeable magnetic card as the TransMilenio. The Tullave card can be purchased at TransMilenio stations or at grocery stores displaying the logo (don't forget to load it). Keep in mind that it is not advisable to take the bus late at night for security reasons, preferring to take a cab or VTC.
