An open-air amphitheater in La Candelaria. The Media Torta was founded in 1938 by the mayor of the time, a certain Jorge Eliécer Gaitán, as a place of diversion for the wave of peasants who migrated to the capital at that time. The Media Torta is a symbol of diversity and exchange between the inhabitants of Bogotá. The first Rock Al Parque festival was held there in 1995, and the open-air amphitheater still hosts numerous concerts, festivals and shows throughout the year.
