Created in 1988 by a Colombian theater icon of Argentine origin, the great Fanny Mickey, the FITB is one of the most important performing arts festivals in the world. Dozens of companies from all over the world come to Bogotá to join the Colombian theater, dance and circus troupes. Most of the capital's theaters are booked, but the festival is also lived in the street, with colorful plays and parades that move to the rhythm of the batucadas.
