Colonial house next to the Museo Botero, allowing you to discover the history of the country, through the evolution of currencies over time

Next door to the Museo Botero, in a colonial house dating from 1621 with a pleasant patio, you can discover the country's history through the evolution of coins over time, thanks to the numismatic collection of the Banco de la República, which runs the museum. A modern, educational permanent exhibition shows how coins and banknotes are made. The first gold coins in America were minted here in 1622. At the end of 2023, the permanent exhibition hall, closed for renovation for two years, finally reopened its doors.

un ensemble de musées
Attention de savoir où vous êtes quand vous visitez ce lieu, car vous êtes sur un ensemble de 3 musées presque confondus (casa de la moneda, musée botero et musée des arts) au gré des salles et de votre cheminement de visite vous passez sans vous en rendre compte d'un musée à l'autre, bon les genres sont différents mais c'est surprenant.Sinon concernant celui de la monnaie c'est trsè intéressant et joliment mis en valeur avec ses machines, son historique de la monnaie aux travers les âges monnaie papier et métallique..etc vraiment très beau.et belle présentation.
