Delimited by the Hold 7A and 14 and Will square them 10A and 1A este. It is the colonial heart of Bogotá, called in the past “El Barrio de los Príncipes” (neighborhood of the Princes). It is also the only neighborhood of Bogotá, whose streets have proper names. The name of “Candelaria” comes from the Nuestra Señora church of Candelaria, built by the Augustins peres. Restored and carefully maintained by the municipality, it is a place full with charm. It is this part of the city which deserved formerly the name “of Athens of the Andes”. The houses with the bright colours, the flower-filled patios, the wood-beamed ceilings, the wooden balconies carved, the paved side streets have the charm of the South of Spain. It is very pleasant to be trotted in this neighborhood. At the top of Candelaria, the corner of the Hold of Parra, one can benefit from a panoramic view. Prudence the night, the streets are empty and the frequent flights. For a peaceful and romantic tour, one can rent the services of a horse-drawn carriage drawn by a horse: about $25,000 per person for 2am of visit.

Très chouette quartier où l'art règne. Un plaisir de parcourir ses rues et ruelles à la recherche de boutiques et cafés indépendants qui se transforment souvent en lieux d'exposition.

Vous aimez les quartiers coloniaux, les maisons olorees, c est la que vous devez allez juste après la plaza bolivar. C est pour moi le plus beau quartier de bogota, si vous voulez vous y promener tranquillement allez y plutôt le matin , vous en repartirez avec des souvenirs plein la tête
