PARQUE ARQUEOLÓGICO DE MONQUIRÁ
Archaeological park where you can see rows of rectangular stones aligned, used as an astronomical observatory by the Muisca
Rows of rectangular stones lined up, which served as an astronomical observatory for the Muisca. By measuring the shadow of the stones on the ground, they were able to establish a harvest calendar for the coming year. Next to it, a series of stones of phallic aspect, of all sizes, up to more than two meters high. A sacred site dedicated to fertility. El Infiernito (the "Little Hell") is the name given by the conquistadors, shocked by these phallic forms.
