PUENTE REAL DE CALICANTO
An old stone port, very photogenic, located in a pleasant and bucolic environment, which invites to dream
An old stone bridge from the 17th century, built between 1692 and 1715 to facilitate the transport of the stones that were used to build the Basílica de Nuestra Señora de Monguí. It spans the river El Morro, three cuadras from the Plaza Mayor. It is accessed through a small cobbled street, with a few cafes and restaurants. This emblematic and very photogenic bridge is located in a pleasant and bucolic environment, which invites to dream. The calicanto, which gave its name to the bridge, is a masonry made of a mixture of lime, sand, ox blood and molasses.
