This small park is home to a statue of the Libertador whose famous words were engraved

This small park is home to a statue of the Libertador, whose famous words were engraved: " Si Caracas me dio vida, vosotros me desteis gloria " ("If Caracas gave me life, you gave me glory"). Around the park, the Gold Museum, the Palace of the Inquisition, the Republican building of the Banco de la República and the headquarters of the National Beauty Contest, with under the arcades, the plaques and photos of the Miss Colombia! This contest is very important in the Colombian culture, especially in Cartagena, where it takes place every year in November (since 1934).

Petite place assez fleurie avec de nombreux arbres, c'est ombragé et les bancs seront vous accueillir. Foule de petit s vendeurs à cet endroit avec un peu d'artisanat, et des peintres façon Montmartre mais à la sauce catargénoise!
