Beautiful house with good value for money, in a peaceful and friendly atmosphere, with a terrace on the roof

A beautiful 17th century house, overlooking both the Santa Barbara Square and the Magdalena River. It has period furniture and a lovely colonial patio full of plants, and a roof terrace, offering beautiful sunsets. All ten suites overlook the patio. They have air conditioning and modern bathrooms. Shared kitchen, hammocks, bike rental and up-to-date information on the area. Peaceful and friendly atmosphere, with a lovely welcome from Carmen and Esther. Good value for money.

En plena plaza Santa Bárbara. Un hotel de estilo colonial, buen servicio. Me he quedado en diferentes ocasiones y no tengo queja importante pero hay que saber lo gracioso que es decir a gritos "no hay agua " para la habitación de la foto que es muy amplia y buena, y de inmediato empiezan a llenar los tanques. No tiene piscina como su hermano San Rafael.

Hübsches familiäres Hotel. Zimmer mit Ventilator und Klimaanlage. Teilweise sehr große Räume. Innenhof toll bepflanzt. Kleiner Frühstück Bereich. Frühstück mit frischen Früchten, Saft, Eiern und Mini Brötchen sowie viel guten Kaffee. Aufmerksames, hilfsbereites Personal.

I was lucky to secure two nights at Casa Amarilla, which is usually totally booked, being the best place in town. My days there felt like submerging myself in a Garcia Marquez novel, an experience of magical realism. It was a lovely stay that I highly recommend it.
