One of the most beautiful churches in Mompox. Recognizable by its red-tiled bell tower and its light blue and yellow facade, it is the cathedral of Mompox. It was built by Pedro de Heredia in 1541, first in Bahá'í style, and then enlarged and consolidated several times. Opposite, the Plaza Mayor is only a part of the old main square, flooded by the river at the end of the 16th century, after the construction of stores and the sumptuous market. A very lively place.
