An agency that has made its place to be able to go up to Ciudad Perdida, thanks to its ethics and its professionalism. Excellent wiwa and peasant guides, but also bilingual guides specialized in Amerindian cultures, botany, fauna or archaeology, and a serious organization with good equipment so that the trek goes well. The strong points of Expotur are the excursions in the Sierra Nevada (daily departures), but also in the Tayrona Park and in the Guajira. Offices in Santa Marta and Riohacha.

The best at Santa Marta and around

We were well taken care of and the accommodations were impressively comfortable for a hike in a remote jungle region.
Likewise, the guides were incredible, they took great care of us.
Shout out to Dennis, a local of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta from a farming family who have lived through an important era in the region's modern history. Her knowledge of the region’s history and stories of her first hand experience were impressive and captivating.
Our translator Pilar was also incredible, so warm and kind. My Spanish isn't excellent, and she always made sure that we were up-to-speed with what was going on.
Special mention to our local guide Jason, who brought a great energy to the group, was attentive to us the whole time, assisting in the kitchen and made sure we were always taken care of. He also did a great job of setting a great hiking pace and kept us motivated.
Lastly, Wilfredy (Piki) was our cook, who kept us well fed the whole trip with delicious food!
Such a great time on this trip, I recommend it for anyone visiting the area. Expotur is the way to go when visiting la Ciudad Perdida!
