Rhythmic parades and shows celebrating the cultural traditions of the Afro-Caribbean people of San Andres and Providencia.
The Green Moon Festival honors the cultural traditions of the Afro-Caribbean people of the archipelago of San Andres, Providencia and Santa Catalina. Three days of celebration, where we do not forget to commemorate the total disappearance of the original indigenous peoples, and of course the slave trade brought from Africa to work on the English plantations. Parades to the rhythm of drums, concerts, dance performances and choreographies representing the struggles against the colonists, as well as conferences and documentary screenings.
