Built in 1844 by Robert Livingston, this church is the oldest Baptist temple in the Americas. The pine wood used to rebuild it in 1867 comes from the state of Alabama in the United States. The local population is very proud of this warm and welcoming building, which invites prayer and gospel (60% of the population of San Andrés is Baptist). Its silhouette detaches itself on the island heights and symbolizes it. The church was declared a national monument.
