On the east side of the island, about 6 kilometers from the city. San Luis is a small village with colorful wooden houses, in an Anglo-Caribbean style reminiscent of Louisiana. The inhabitants are very quiet and the long white sandy beaches of Sound Bay are deserted, compared to those of the tourist center of the island. There are fewer street vendors. It is easy to go there by bus. Good local restaurant with the feet in the sand and what to supply itself also in the village. The beach was significantly reduced after the passage of Hurricane Iota in 2020.
