This small airport is located in the middle of the city, just next to the bus terminal (Termina del Sur), 5 minutes by taxi from Poblado. Flights of EasyFly (Bucaramanga, Pereira...), Satena (Bogota, Bahia Solano, Nuqui...) and Grupo San German Expres (Quibdó, Bahía Solano, Nuquí...) companies. The Aerolínea de Antioquia (ADA) company, which served Choco, has not been operating since March 2019.

Carlos Gardel, the famous tango artist, died in 1935 on the runway of this airport, caught in an accident between two planes. Carlos Gardel Square at the airport pays tribute to him.
