PLAZA CISNEROS
Parque de la Luz in Medellin, overlooking the square, a library, futuristic style symbolizing the pyramids of knowledge
Built on the old market place, this square also called Parque de la Luz, houses since 2005 three hundred concrete columns slimming in height for 24 meters with a successful illumination, which evokes a forest of guadua. The effect is nice during the day and at night. This work of the architect Juan Manuel Peláez reminds us that Medellín is at the forefront of technical progress in Colombia. Overlooking the square, the EPM library, with a futuristic style symbolizing the pyramids of knowledge, and where multimedia is in the spotlight.
