A guided tour through a Zen garden with bonsai trees, then a rainforest with beautiful orchids

A guided tour (obligatory) in Spanish of about 2 hours 30, through a beautiful natural area. First you take a chairlift to the hummingbird house, where you stay for about ten minutes, then you reach a butterfly aviary, through a Zen garden with bonsai trees, and then a rainforest with magnificent orchids. The guaduapavilion is a prototype of the pavilion presented by the great local architect Simón Vélez, at the Universal Exposition of Hannover in Germany (in 2000). A bucolic visit, very good with children.

A ne pas manquer
Le Recinto del Pensamiento est un lieu incontournable à Manizales. Il faut le visiter soit pour un circuit court de 2 heures permettant une balade sympathique alliant observation d'orchidées, de papillon, plus généralement de la faune et la flore typiques d'un bois tropical. Vous pouvez aussi opter pour une visite plus longue partant tôt le matin, pour une observation plus scientifique des oiseaux faisant la fierté de la région cafetière de Colombie. Une visite splendide.
