MUSEO DEL ORO CALIMA
Museum housing a collection of 472 pieces of silverware and 142 pieces of ceramics, stone and shell
This museum, created in 1991 in the tradition of the Museo del oro de Bogotá, is located in the modern building of the cultural center of the Banco de la República (owner of the museum). It has a collection of 472 pieces of gold and silverware and 142 pieces of ceramics, stone and shell, attributed to the Calima culture that was established in the region several thousand years before the arrival of the Spanish conquistadors. If you have visited other gold museums in Colombia, such as the one in Bogotá, you should know that this one is more modest, but still very interesting.
