In the city center, next to La Ermita church and the Puente Ortiz (which leads to the Bulevar del Río), this park, inaugurated in 1995, pays homage to the poetry of the Valle del Cauca. The last escribadores (public writers) with their typewriters are installed under their umbrellas, among the loteros (lottery ticket sellers) and lustrabotas (shoe shiners).
