This is no ordinary hotel, it has a soul and a history of over two centuries. Built in 1750, this large building was first a convent for young girls, then a barracks after the expulsion of the Franciscan fathers who ran it, and finally an administrative entity. Restoration work in the 1950s restored it to its former imposing but austere grace and made it one of the most beautiful hotels in the region. 47 luxurious rooms, a good restaurant and a swimming pool.
