El Sotareño is an institution in Popayan. A traditional café-bar born in the middle of the 1960s, where people come as much for its warm atmosphere as for Don Agustín Sarria, the owner at the helm since the beginning. This music lover has an incredible collection of salsa, tango and other Latin music vinyls that he generously plays for his customers. The mythical place on Calle 6 moved in 2021, to Carrera 7, but the essence remained, and the café now has its own brand of coffee sold on site.
