House of Andalusian style, one of the greatest Colombian sculptors and adept at abstract forms of aluminum work
This Andalusian-style house built in 1781 was the birthplace of Edgar Negret (1920-2012), one of Colombia's greatest sculptors, adept at abstract forms and aluminum work. Part of his private collection is on display, along with uniforms, furniture, books and relics. Attached to Casa Negret is the Ibero-American Museum of Modern Art, featuring works by Picasso, María Paz Jaramillo, Santiago Cárdenas and many others.
