CASA MUSEO MOSQUERA
Establishment located in Popayan, dedicated to indigenous crafts and a museum to the embodied memory of the region's history
This great colonial house was the residence of one of the most famous Colombian families. Today it is a museum. General Tomás Cipriano Mosquera, four times president of Colombia between 1845 and 1867, grew up in this house at the end of the 18th century. As you enter, you will notice the painting by Efraim Martínez, a true allegory of the country's history. Part of the building is also dedicated to indigenous crafts, which makes this museum the embodiment of the region's history.
