Taverna is located in the city center, not far from the former French legation. The restaurant is an authentic Serbian kafana. The place is quiet and there is a non-smoking corner. The dishes are slightly expensive, but the quality is good. The classic order consists of a shopska salad as well as ćevapi as a main course. Opt instead for a cafe in town as far as desserts are concerned, as often in tourist countries, expensive and not very tasty.
