Great carnival mixing dances and processions, children's carnival, concerts and regattas. A final ball rewards the most beautiful masks of the year.
The carnival of Kotor traditionally follows the Saint-Tryphon on February 3rd. This great winter event is repeated in early August. The events organised for the event are very varied: colourful dances and processions, masquerades, children's carnival, concerts and regattas. A final masked ball rewards the most beautiful masks of the year. Originating from the Italian Renaissance, this carnival, which is over five hundred years old, is the oldest in the country and also the most famous. Every year, many people flock to it.
